It's getting closer, just 3 more days until I'm 40 and instead of freaking out I'm celebrating here on the blog with 11 days of giveaways. Who am I kidding? I'm still freaking out! But this week has been so much fun to read your stories, birthday wishes and thoughtful comments. Thank you!
So earlier I mentioned that my 12th birthday was a pretty big one for me. I was planning my first real slumber party with girls from school. We had formed a little slumber party posse that year. I had made this awesome fish pianata from scratch, I was quite proud. We were planning a bonfire in the country. All was set. The day would start with a little visit with my Dad and Step-Mom. But that morning I got a phone call. And an early birthday present.
I had a new baby brother.
What? I knew the baby was coming soon, but I had mixed emotions about sharing my day with a little brother. That was until I saw his sweet little face that day and held his tiny hand. I loved that little guy from the first moment I saw him.
Not to fear, the slumber party was an awesome success and Seth and I have gone on to celebrate 27 birthdays sharing our day. Happy birthday little brother.
And I have to mention that Seth is a talented musician and along with my sister Gretchen they have a band called Thirty Steps to Forward.
