I was thrilled to be asked to unbox Vintaj's new subscription box for a Bead Table Wednesday. I love Vintaj and they go so well with Humblebeads.
This is a monthly subscription box with $150 worth of Vintaj components and beads for $39.50. Each month there is a different theme and a project inspiration card is included or you can go off and see what your inspired to create!
You can watch the video here. https://www.facebook.com/humblebeadspage/videos/809842392879080/
I ended up reworking the pieces I created in the video, inspired more by the colors in the box.
Here is my bird necklace with a blue bird instead of the peach one in the video.
I loved layering the brass stamping over the filigree, it's such a fun and interesting way to create a focal. I paired this up with the new spindle beads I'm offering here on the website.
I destroyed the bracelet bar I used in the video by trying to make it look like a garden relic. Best laid plans of mice and men and jewelry designers. I hear taps gently playing in the background. So I removed the butterflies and took them in a different direction as connectors.
I punched a second hole in the wings to create butterfly connectors, easy peasy.
I took that huge Swarovski Crystal cab and folded over the large flower filigree to capture it. I turned the filigree over, placed the cab in the center and folded the edges of each side fo the filigree. Fun, right? This is what the filigree looked like before. The charm on the bottom is from Vintaj's Artisan collection featuring my design.
And can we give a shout out to the cutest bead caps ever - they have tiny birds on them!!!
I used the same technique to capture the hummingbird cameo that was in the Inspiration box. I had another Trellis filigree in my stash that I used in the first design. I hammered the center flat before adding in the cameo.
I used the second butterfly charm as a connector again and I found this slightly larger butterfly in my stash. Loving the large Czech glass bicone beads from my website. They have the perfect mauve/brown finish that compliments the cameo.
I used the pewter connectors from the inspiration box with goodies from my stash: Humblebeads disks, Czech glass flowers and bead caps, the tiny birds are part of the Green Girl Studio line from Vintaj.
My final design used the pewter bird house, the tiny glass beads, and the flower charm from the Inspiration box. For the charm, I punched a second hole to make it a connector and painted in a periwinkle finish to match my color palette. The nest is another Green Girl Studio piece from Vintaj.
Thank you again to Vintaj for sponsoring the video and providing the inspiration box for me to review.
